This policy explains how the Password Generator browser extension for Chrome, Chromium, and Firefox handles data when generating passwords in the browser popup.
Passwords are generated inside the browser on the user's device. The extension does not send generated passwords, selected character sets, custom characters, or exported CSV files to InetTools servers or any third party.
The extension may save only local interface and generator preferences: password length, number of passwords, selected character sets, custom characters, the similar-character exclusion option, and the visual theme. This data is stored in the browser's localStorage and is used to restore preferences when the popup is opened again.
The extension does not request special browser permissions and does not request host permissions for website access. It does not read visited page content, track browsing history, or make network requests for generator functionality.
Copying a password to the clipboard and exporting a password batch as CSV happen only after an explicit user action. After copying or export, the extension does not remotely access this data and does not keep a server-side copy.
Password Generator does not use analytics, advertising SDKs, advertising identifiers, cookies, or tracking mechanisms. We do not sell, transfer, or disclose users' personal data.
Users can remove local extension settings through browser settings, site or extension data cleanup, or by uninstalling the extension. Because passwords and settings are not sent to a server, InetTools has no separate server-side copy to delete.
